Anchor Brick Introduction
Anchor brick is an essential refractory brick for high temperature kiln. Its main function is to anchor refractory castable or refractory plastic. Generally, anchor bricks need to be used when the temperature is above 1000 ℃.
Anchor brick plays a skeleton role in refractory castable. Anchor brick is also called hanging brick.
There are several refractory products that play the role of framework in refractory castable: one is anchor brick, the other is anchoring part, and the third is tortoise shell net.
Anchor Brick Characteristics
Anchor brick is a refractory brick formed by raw material technical proportioning, re molding and sintering. It has high strength, good thermal shock stability and toughness. However, the mold of anchor brick is a difficulty in the production process, and the abrasives are complex and difficult to make, which is much higher than that of ordinary refractory brick.
If the anchor brick is provided with a hole, the installation hole is generally in the neck. The finished anchor brick shall be free of cracks and the size shall be accurate. It is easy to use on the furnace top. Generally, three-level high alumina anchor bricks are used more, because three-level high alumina anchor bricks have toughness. Although the quality of grade I high alumina brick is good, its hardness also increases. It is easy to crack when used in general castables.
Anchor Brick Specification
There are many shapes and connection modes of anchor bricks, and their sizes are different. Generally, it is made according to user customization. There are also some anchor bricks with regular length of 330, 380, 440 and 500m, and the thickness is generally about 100mm. Its function is to anchor and strengthen the refractory castable lining.
The alumina content of anchor brick is more than 55%, and the alumina content of excellent anchor brick can reach 75%. The load softening temperature of this kind of brick reaches 1550 ℃, which is an excellent refractory brick product. However, generally, the anchor brick with alumina content of 55% is selected because the anchor brick with alumina content of 55% has better flexibility.
Anchor Brick Application
It should be noted that the anchor brick is used to anchor the refractory castable. The properties of the anchor brick should be consistent with the castable material and the expansion and contraction, so as to form a close combination with the castable and prolong the service life of the furnace lining.
Therefore, when using castables, we often use anchor bricks to ensure the stability of castables, so as to increase the overall tightness of the construction structure, improve the service safety factor of the kiln and prolong the service life of the kiln.
