Carbon Brick Introduction
Carbon brick is a kind of high temperature resistant neutral refractory product made of carbon materials with proper amount of binder. Carbonaceous materials include anthracite, coke and graphite, with asphalt, tar and anthracene oil as binders.
Carbon Brick Characteristics
The refractoriness and load softening temperature of carbon bricks are high, and the thermal shock resistance is good;
It is not wetted by molten slag, molten iron, etc., and almost not corroded by all acids, alkalis and organic drugs;
It has good slag resistance, high temperature volume stability, high mechanical strength, good wear resistance, and good conductivity and thermal conductivity.
Carbon Brick Classification
(1) Ultra microporous carbon brick is made of high-temperature electric calcined anthracite as the main raw material, adding a variety of additives and asphalt as the binder. After forming, it is calcined at high temperature and processed. Its main performance has high thermal conductivity, high micropore index and permeability index, which can reduce the erosion speed of blast furnace body and effectively prevent the penetration and erosion of molten iron.
(2) Semi graphitic carbon brick is made of high-temperature electric calcined anthracite as the main raw material and medium temperature asphalt as the binder. After forming, it is calcined at high temperature and refined. It mainly has a certain thermal conductivity and excellent alkaline resistance. It is economical and practical, meets the basic needs of blast furnace, and is mainly applicable to the bottom of blast furnace.
(3) Ultra high thermal conductivity graphite brick is made of high-quality petroleum coke with low ash as the main raw material and asphalt as the binder. After forming, it is roasted, impregnated, graphitized and refined. Ultra high conductivity graphite brick has high thermal conductivity and good thermal conductivity. It is more effective for strengthening furnace bottom cooling, reducing furnace bottom temperature and slowing down furnace bottom erosion. It is suitable for furnace bottom and bosh of blast furnace.
(4) High thermal conductivity carbon brick is made of high thermal conductivity graphite material as the main raw material, semi graphite material and asphalt as the binder. After forming, it is calcined at high temperature and finished. Its main performance is that it has high thermal conductivity and good thermal conductivity. It is mainly suitable for the bottom of blast furnace.
Carbon Brick Application
Because of the above properties, carbon bricks are widely used in building the bottom and hearth of blast furnace. In recent years, the scope of use has been expanding, and carbon bricks have also been used in the bosh and lower part of the furnace stack. It can improve the continuous operation time of the blast furnace and prolong its service life.
