High Alumina Refractory Brick Introduction
High alumina refractory brick is aluminum silicate refractory with Al2O3 content of more than 48%. It is generally divided into three categories, I. The content of Al2O3 is greater than 75%; Grade II Al2O3 content 60% ~ 75%; The content of grade III Al2O3 is 48% ~ 60%. It can also be classified according to its mineral composition, which is generally divided into five categories: low mullite, mullite, mullite corundum, corundum mullite and corundum. Its mineral composition is mainly corundum, mullite and glass phase. The proportion of each mineral phase depends on the type and quantity of Al2O3 / SiO2 and impurities in the product, as well as its production process conditions.
High Alumina Refractory Brick Specification and Advantages
Load softening temperature of high alumina refractory brick. The load softening temperature of ordinary high alumina refractory brick is generally more than 1420 ~ 1550 ℃, which is higher than that of clay refractory products, and increases with the increase of Al2O3 content. When Al2O3 < 70%, the load softening temperature increases with the increase of the number ratio of mullite phase to glass phase. The number and properties of liquid phase have an obvious effect on the load softening temperature. Therefore, reducing the content of impurities in raw materials is conducive to improving the load softening temperature and high temperature creep; When Al2O3 > 70%, the load softening temperature does not increase with the increase of Al2O3 content.
Thermal shock resistance. The thermal shock resistance of ordinary high alumina refractory brick mainly depends on chemical mineral composition and microstructure. Generally worse than clay products.
Chemical resistance. The corrosion resistance, oxidation and reduction reactivity of ordinary high alumina refractory bricks to acid or alkaline slag and liquid metal are good, and increase with the increase of Al2O3 content and the decrease of harmful impurity content.

High Alumina Refractory Brick Application
High alumina refractory bricks are generally used in blast furnace, hot blast furnace, electric furnace and other industrial kilns.
